{"id":2573,"date":"2019-08-01T16:07:07","date_gmt":"2019-08-01T06:07:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/incodocs.com\/blog\/?p=2573"},"modified":"2023-10-06T14:23:17","modified_gmt":"2023-10-06T04:23:17","slug":"incoterms-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/incodocs.com\/blog\/incoterms-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Incoterms\u00ae 2020 Updates to be Published by the ICC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Incoterms<\/strong>\u00ae<strong> 2020 will be published by the ICC to come into effect on the 1st of January 2020.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Incoterms\u00ae 2020 are the new International Trading terms that are set to be published by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).&nbsp; The new ICC Incoterms\u00ae 2020 will be released on September 2019 and legally come into effect on the 1st of January in 2020.  The ICC originally published Incoterms\u00ae in 1936 and have continually updated them to reflect the changes to the Global Trade environment.&nbsp; It\u2019s important that all parties involved in Global Trade clearly understand the changes and how they apply supply chains.  The new Incoterms\u00ae 2020 will be published <a href=\"https:\/\/iccwbo.org\/resources-for-business\/incoterms-rules\/incoterms-2020\/\">by the ICC here<\/a>.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What are Incoterms<\/strong>\u00ae<strong>?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Incoterms\u00ae are globally recognized terms of global trade.&nbsp; When buying and selling products Internationally companies abide by set Incoterms\u00ae to clearly define when costs and risks are legally transferred from the seller to the buyer.&nbsp; ICC updated Incoterms\u00ae rules in 2010 which are still in effect today.  These include the 11 published Incoterms\u00ae EXW, FCA, FAS, FOB, CFR, CIF, CPT, CIP, DAT, DAP and DDP.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:38px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong>The ICC have published updates to Incoterms<\/strong>\u00ae<strong> 2020<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/incodocs.com\/blog\/incoterms-2020-explained-the-complete-guide\/\">Click here to view the current article on the current Incoterms\u00ae 2020.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:63px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:58px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Incoterms<\/strong>\u00ae<strong> 2020 prepares for a new digital world<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since Incoterms\u00ae were last updated in 2010, the business world has changed dramatically thanks to advancements in new software and technology.&nbsp; Manual procedures that were common place over 10 years ago are continually being replaced by new digital supply chains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Businesses all over the world have adopted new digital processes covering warehouse management, purchasing, International payments, shipping, tracking and security to name a few.&nbsp; Because companies are becoming more reliant on a digital process, cyber security threats can pose an increased risk to supply chain partners.
